Submission notice

#1 Modalities:

#2 Working languages:

The official languages ​​of communication of CEDH2021 will be, exclusively, Portuguese, English or Spanish.

The indication of the moderation/functioning language and the modality (in person/virtual) of the symposium is the responsibility of the Coordinators and becomes mandatory when submitting the symposium proposal.

#3 Functioning of face-to-face and virtual presentations:

In this 3rd edition of the event, all accepted papers will be presented in an auditorium within the scope of each thematic symposium.

Each Participant, in the form of face-to-face and/or virtual communication, has a maximum limit of ten (10) minutes to present their communication in pitch format. The debate will be held every 3 or 4 interventions and again before the symposium ends.

The virtual presentations take place instreaming on the event’s virtual platforms, where they will also be recorded and available on the event’s official virtual channels on the internet (social networks and website).

To broadcast the virtual activities to the public, theStreamYard platform will be used, which will transmit (streaming) the virtual room where participants will be presented to Youtube and Facebook channels, simultaneously.

#4 Symposium submission:

  • Participants may submit proposals for thematic symposia that fit the objectives and purpose of the event. Theses, as long as they are anchored to the theme of this 3rd edition of the CEDH Human Rights Dimensions in Response to COVID-19, are welcome.

  • Symposium Submission – To make this submission, you must use the template available at cedh.pt

  • Each symposium may have a maximum of 3 people in the coordination.

  • The submission must be made within the regulatory deadline.

  • The Organizing Committee will be the entity responsible for the appreciation of the symposium proposals.

  • If accepted, the symposium will be published in the CEDH2021 website, to allow participants to recognize the symposium of greatest interest and submit their abstracts.

  • The proposal should contain a summary of the symposium presentation of no more than 500 words.
  • The coordinating persons may present papers in all symposia that best suit the research.

  • For the symposium to function it must obtain a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 approved and regularly registered abstracts regardless of the modality in which it will function (online or on-site).

  • In case this requirement is not fulfilled, the papers received will be allocated to other symposia according to the respective theme.

  • The choice of modality and language of operation is the responsibility of the persons coordinating the symposium, and the organization may suggest possible alterations to regulate the balance of the event.

  • The presentation of each work can have a maximum of 10 minutes in pitch format..

  • The management of the symposium functioning (time management, order of presentation, time, and moments of debates, etc.) will be the responsibility of the coordination of the symposium observing the general functioning rules of CEDH2021.

  • Participation and access to all documents of CEDH2021.
  • Publication of abstracts in Proceedings Bookformat with European ISBN and DOI of the work by CrossRef and indexed on the Web of Science platform (ScholarOne and ISI).

  • Publication of 1 work/complete article in e-book* with European ISBN and individual DOI per chapter and work by CrossRef and indexed in the Web of Science platform (ScholarOne and ISI).

  • Certificate of paper presentation (if applicable).
  • Certificate of participation in the Conference as listener/auditor with 25 hours.
  • Publication of paper(s) after scientific peer review process.
  • Facilitation (fast-track) of publication in several partner journals of the event with a minimum SCOPUS or Web of Science and/or Qualis A (A1, A2 or A3) level.

  • Network access to an international and multidisciplinary scientific community.
  • Certificate of thematic symposium coordination.
  • Coordination of the publication with the papers/chapters presented at the respective symposium.
  • Access to courses and workshops promoted by partners of the event under privileged commercial conditions or even free of charge.
